Reconnecting with the Body
Your body remembers
what your mind has forgotten.
We all know our body
is “ours,” but often treat it like a machine.
When we’re busy, we ignore its exhaustion.
When emotions rise, we silence them with our minds—and the body takes the hit.
The body doesn’t speak
in words, but it never lies.
I once thought I was
someone who “had it all together.”
But when my health began to crumble, I realized:
I wasn’t clear—I was just enduring.
My stomach constantly hurt, my shoulders were rock-hard, and I couldn’t sleep
through the night.
Doctors said I was deficient in energy. A therapist said I was under chronic
stress.
I still said, “I’m fine.”
Until one day, during
meditation, I felt a warm wave rise from the soles of my feet.
It moved through my legs, abdomen, chest...
For the first time, I truly felt my body—like it had been waiting
for me to listen.
I cried.
I had abandoned it for so long.
A Simple Yet
Profound Practice:
Lie down for five
minutes.
Gently place a hand on your heart and whisper:
“Thank you for
never giving up on me.”
Then just listen.
You might feel sensations—tingling, tightness, warmth, emotion. That is the
beginning of reconnection.
You don’t have to fix
your body.
You just have to come home to it.
Like returning to an old friend—
who never left, just waited to be seen again.
