We Awakened in Each
Other’s Eyes
As a child, I thought
a “soulmate” would be just like in fairy tales—
Two people colliding in the rain or meeting by chance, rewriting destiny with a
glance.
But later, I came to understand—
Some souls don’t arrive to stay forever.
They come to wake you up.
And awakening is not
logical.
It’s a tremor.
It’s a moment—a glance, a word, a touch that startles your heartbeat—
and suddenly, you remember who you are.
Maybe we once shared a
life.
Maybe we simply locked eyes once in a crowd.
But in that instant, a part of you stirred,
and you were no longer just you—
you felt something deeper, something realer than words.
Some souls were meant
to cross paths—
even if only briefly.
And that feeling—I know you—
can pierce through lifetimes.
We have all awakened
in each other’s eyes.
And every awakening carries a tender ache—
Because once you’ve
awakened,
you can never return to the dream the same way again.
