When I Feel “Everyone Is Better Than Me”
“Why do I always feel
like others are more radiant than I am?”
“Why do I keep comparing myself and thinking I’m falling behind?”
“Is there something wrong with me?”
This is a common
feeling during the healing journey. When we see others shining, confident, and
seemingly powerful, comparison quietly sneaks in. We begin to doubt our own
pace—wondering if we’re too slow, not deep enough, not spiritual enough, not
awake enough.
But pause. Breathe.
The thought “they’re
better than me” is often a projection—you’re seeing their light, but
that light lives in you too. You just haven’t gently turned toward it yet.
True healing isn’t
about surpassing anyone. It’s about authentically becoming more of yourself.
You don’t need to be like anyone else. You only need to come home to you.
Envy may simply be a
neglected part of you longing to be seen. It’s not wrong. It’s an invitation.
You’re not “behind.”
You’re walking at your soul’s unique pace. And often, the quietest
moments are when the deepest transformations are happening.
Healing Reminders:
- When you feel envious, ask that inner
voice: What do I truly long for?
- Shift your focus from “how others are”
back to “who I am.”
- Trust your own rhythm: The soul does
not rush. Flowers do not compete to bloom.
