Release Through Awareness: When Emotions Take the Lead
Sometimes, we don't
realize we're being "moved" by emotions. We think it's our conscious
choice, but in truth, it's our unseen inner feelings driving the actions. When
we suddenly raise our voice, rush to leave, can't stop trying to control others,
or repeatedly fall into fatigue, procrastination, or irritation—it may not be
our logic at play, but our emotions expressing a story yet to be told.
This doesn't mean
emotions are wrong. Rather, it shows us: our body, actions, and outward
patterns are constantly reflecting something calling from within.
For example, someone
who was always told as a child to “be good, quiet, and avoid trouble,” may grow
up to become overly tolerant or disappear in stressful environments. But then,
they might suddenly explode in anger, surprising both themselves and others.
They might think: "I’ve held it in so long—why is the emotion still this
strong?"
Healing is not about
pushing emotions away or forcing stability. It’s about noticing with tenderness
and honesty what’s truly happening—not only the surface emotions like anger,
sadness, fear, or anxiety, but also the deeper needs, desires, and old memories
beneath.
Healing Reflection:
- Look back at the past week—was there a
moment when you made a decision or acted in a way that felt reasonable
then, but later you realized was emotionally driven?
- Were there bodily signals (like faster
heartbeat, chest tightness, cold hands)? Did you ignore them?
- Without judging yourself, can you revisit
that moment and ask: what unspoken feeling was behind this? What kind
words can you say to yourself now?
Emotions are not your
enemy. They are the voice of something within you longing to be heard—a soul’s
imprint waiting to speak.
